Network World Publishes first test report on the Cisco SSL VPN Gateway (May 2006)
Joel Snyder of Opus One conducted performance tests to determine how well VoIP will work over SSL VPN's. His analysis published on Network World includes test results for SSL VPN gateways from 10 vendors.
CRN review (February 2006) of the SonicWall SSL-VPN 200, a gateway designed for very small organizations with a maximum of 10 concurrent users.
InfoWorld (February 2006) takes a close look at the Aventail EX-2500 and the F5 FirePass 4100 SSL VPN gateways.
Network World (December 2005) published the results of its Clear Choice Tests of 11 SSL VPN gateways. Participating vendors included AEP Networks, Array Networks, Aventail, Caymas Systems, Check Point, F5 Networks, Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Nokia, Nortel and SonicWall. The evaluations were conducted by Joel Snyder,a senior partner at Opus One and focused on 7 areas: application interoperability, endpoint security, fine-grained access control, high availablity, manageability, portal user interface, and user authentication.

Gartner (December 2005) published its Magic Quadrant for SSL VPNs, 3Q2005. These signature "Magic Quadrant" reports achieved icon status in the IT industry long ago so we encourage you to learn how Gartner evaluates and rates 15 top SSL VPN vendors. Secure Computing (October 2005) published the results of its testing of SSL VPN Gateways from AEP Networks, Array, Aventail, Permeo (acquired by Blue Coat), Nokia, and Portwise. The test environment was designed to mirror that of a large enterprise.
Network Computing (August 2005) published its ratings on SSL VPN gateways from 9 vendors. The NC report grades spanned a wide range from a high of a "A-"( 3 products) to a low of a "C+" ( 1 product).
