- In our Product Selection Guide we offer two types of information designed to help you narrow your search for a "best fit" solution. First, we describe the different types of security that each vendor has built into their systems and show you how these gateways work with different types of user devices. And then we examine some platform-specific capabilities that vary within vendor product lines.
- Most gateways work well with popular 3rd party security products, e.g., user directories, authentication mechanisms, personal desktop security software. So integration is not a big hurdle. However, some gateway vendors sell and support these products - either those they developed or ones they OEM from others. In the Product Selection Guide these are identified as "pre-packaged" products.
- The Product Selection Guide will be updated each time a vendor announces significant new capabilities.
